“Tough Mudder is not your average lame-ass mud run or spirit-crushing ‘endurance’ road race. Our 10-12 mile obstacle courses are designed by British Special Forces to test all around strength, stamina, mental grit, and camaraderie. Forget finish times. Simply completing a Tough Mudder is a badge of honor. On average, only 78% of participants finish the event. Only those in reasonably strong physical condition should enter.” (via toughmudder.com)
Obstacle #1: Brokeball Mountain - “Check out these massive stones! Now stop checking them out before they crush you!”
Obstacle #2: Kiss of Mud - “Eat dirt as you crawl on your belly under wire set only 8 inches from the ground.” - If you look closely, you can see little spots of orange in the mud! THAT’S OUR TEAM!
MILE 1 DONE! 11 more miles to go! LEZ DO DIZ! GO TEAM!
Obstacle #3: Death March - “Feel the burn early on as you charge straight up this red graded ski run right to the top of the mountain.”
Some people had some awesome costumes/props!
Obstacle #23: Turd’s Nest - “Try not to fall as you make your way through this fragile net.”
Little kids were playing underneath the net, haha. Cute!
This one’s pretty dangerous. I’m surprised his mama was letting him do that! People’s legs kept slipping through. I was so scared he was gonna get hit! He even popped his Super Mario up into the net so he could say hi to the participants.
The first 3 of our team to finish was Miles, Bob, & Kyle. They came back to the course to support the rest of the team!
Obstacle #25: Electroshock Therapy - “Release your inner demons as you sprint through a field of live wires, some of which carry a 10,000 volt shock.”
Some people donated their shoes after they finished Tough Mudder.
The spectators! Seriously, we cheered our asses off and were probably the loudest ones thanks to our vuvuzelas. We even cheered for other teams! YEAH CAMARADERIE!
VICTORY BEERS and space suits for warmth, haha.
Clearly, there are many ways to style these space suits.
THE CHAMPIONS!
The whole gang <3 I can’t even express how proud I am of everyone. This wasn’t an easy course and EVERY SINGLE PERSON on our team finished. :’)
GO TEAM COURAGE WOLFPACK!
